Cada vez son más las personas que recurren a los rayos UVA para coger color de una forma rápida, cómoda y bastante económica. Sin embargo, hay que tener en cuenta que esta práctica alternativa a los rayos solares presenta una serie de riesgos para la salud. La propia Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) ha clasificado a estas cabinas de bronceado como un potencial factor de riesgo, incluyéndolas en el grupo 1 de carcinogénicos para humanos.
