El electrocardiograma es una parte importante de la evaluación inicial de un paciente que se sospecha que tiene un problema relacionados con el corazón. Además puede proporcionar información importante sobre el ritmo cardíaco del paciente, ataque cardíaco previo, aumento de grosor del corazón o entrega de oxígeno disminuido en el corazón entre otros.
